Potassium sulfate fertilizer

Potassium sulfate is a by-product of biodiesel production and is used as a fertilizer. It is used particularly in the agricultural industry to supply plants with the potassium they need to grow. In addition to its use as a fertilizer, it is also used in the glass industry.

Potassium sulfate

Potassium is one of the three main nutrients for plants, along with nitrogen and phosphorus. It stimulates the water content of a plant and thus strengthens the plant’s cell walls. This makes them more resistant to cold and pests. Fertilizing with potassium sulfate also helps to improve quality characteristics such as appearance and taste.

The potassium sulfate fertilizer is low in chloride and therefore ideal for chloride-sensitive plants. Thanks to its high sulfur content, it is particularly suitable for plants with an increased sulfur requirement, which significantly increases quality and yield. The use of fertilizer also contributes to a more intense aroma and a stronger color in fruit and vegetables.

“Due to its central role in plant nutrition, potassium sulfate is an indispensable resource whose importance in agriculture is constantly increasing.”
